Access is designed to require minimal routine maintenance.
For best performance and membrane life, we recommend flushing the system with freshwater after each use. Freshwater flushing helps remove salts and reduce biological growth on the membrane during storage.
Routine maintenance primarily consists of:
- Freshwater flushing after use.
- Periodic cleaning of the pre-filter at the end of the intake hose.
- Replacing the RO membrane approximately every 6-12 months, or as indicated by the system or Vital Lyfe app.
No calibration, chemical cleaning, or professional service is required under normal operating conditions.
The Vital Lyfe app continuously monitors system health and membrane performance, providing maintenance reminders and replacement recommendations when service is needed.
Note: Long-term storage of the Access unit will involve pickling the unit, or rather, running a fluid through the system to preserve the membrane when not in use for extended periods of time.
